These doughnuts are PHENOMENAL! I take my daughter there every Saturday morning and the doughnuts are consistently great. With that said, a few points of constructive feedback: -A few of the employees there, especially one in particular, are not even trying to be friendly. They come through with their doughnut refill trays as though the customers are in their way. I tried to talk to one girl and she was really short and almost abrasive in her response. I almost wanted to apologize for trying to engage her in conversation. Watch out for that, management, because it makes the customers feel less comfortable if it seems we're in your way. -Maybe add some tables, even in the parking lot, that are just for customers. There are a couple tables at the far end of the parking lot, but I quickly learned that they're for employees. There were a couple guys smoking and cursing a few weeks ago while I was sitting there with my 4 year old daughter. I asked them to stop cursing in front of her, and they did, but I was pretty sure I was invading their break area. Other than that, excellent doughnuts and other baked goodies. We'll continue coming back.

These guys get a five star rating for the best chocolate on chocolate donut ever invented. If you are in salt lake, stop here and grab a dozen choco donuts. Mmmm good.

The first thing I noticed when exiting my car is the sweet scent of sugar and donuts. Much like the feeling of approaching the entrance of Disneyland/California Adventure. This self-serve donut 'outlet' has a local feel and the service staff reflects that in a very good way. Polite and somewhat talkative with warm and winning smiles. I got a glazed yeast donut, blueberry cake donut w/glaze on top, and a blueberry turnover. The glazed donut was nice and soft, slightly chewy and delicious. The Blueberry cake donut was inferior to the likes of Dunkin' Donuts, and Krispie Kreme. The blueberry turnover, however, was a pocket full of sweet pastry joy! It's like sin that tastes REALLY good, but you won't go to Hell as a consequence. Located in a somewhat obscure neighborhood I suggest using your GPS to find it. Like now.

I got here super early (7:30am) on a Saturday and everything was so wonderful. All of the donut shelves were fully stocked and I was one happy lady. My favorite was the vanilla creme donut. Just as I was checking out my box of half a dozen, one of the bakers rolled out a whole cart of fresh French rolls. You best believe the group I was with snagged a whole bag full. Absolutely loved it here!!!

Good donuts but LOUSY customer service at the store! I felt like I was talking to zombies in there who were from some cult that ordered women to be silent or something. They just didn't know how to talk to people. It was weird. And - two girls cleaning the glass cases were spraying the cleaner all over the inside of the open door in a way that was hitting the donuts -- are you kidding me!?! My wife said she wouldn't go back.

Oh. My. Donuts. The best donuts I've ever had, just sad that I've gone this long living in Salt Lake without ever knowing about them! Pick and box the donuts youself, I'm like a kid in a candy store, not knowing which ones to get so I end up getting one of each! I've also seen danishes, muffins, and bread there but haven't dared ventured away from the donuts. Go early for a huge variety of choices. I've tried the maple bar, chocolate cake, cinnamon sugar, apple fritter, and the strawberry filled. All were exceptionally good and fluffy. Even after a few days, they are still soft as when I first got them. AND they're only $.75 each! Will never go back to supermarket donuts or other competitors (with the exception of a certain downtown donut shop that starts with a B and ends in bury. ;-) ).

Best. Donuts. Ever!!!! I wasn't a huge fan of donuts until I tried Dunford's! I was craving donuts one day and I fell in love. Luckily we lived near the outlet and we were able to get them fresh. We have since moved to Seattle and miss these donuts dearly :( I wish they sold out of state...or could deliver.

The chocolate cover chocolate donuts are LEGENDARY. I use any excuse to stop by the store for fresh donuts. They're great right off the rack, but if you can wait to get back to your office, pop that baby in the microwave for 10 seconds. Talk about perfection! Liz Lemon would be proud. Also try their fresh bread. It's the only kind I buy!

For years..... 1960's....on I've volunteered to lick the chocolate frosting bowls clean. Like cake batter bowls before washing them. Yes, I know it can be "messy", but someone has to do it so why not me? I can think of no better way to meet my chocolate (cravings)/addiction and help "keep the surrounding environment" clean. Remember the $.75 box of "cripples." Enough for everyone and then some.

This place is diet kryptonite for me and that does not even bother me. I love every thing but my absolute favorites are the chocolate cake donuts. I think if you prefer cake donuts this is the place for you.

Get a donut! Make it a dozen! Get some fresh, sliced bread! Great variety! Great prices! I wish there were more organized line because you think you're at the end, but the someone loses their mind. Easy people. We're all here for donuts!

You know that fantasy Homer Simpson has when a pair of sexy legs spring out of a donut and starts dancing suggestively? These are those donuts. Every bite is sensuous and is kissed with the right amount of sugar. The bread has the right texture -- I would suggest PERSHING "swirly non-filled" for the chewiness. Irresistable, I truly believe the mountainous air of Salt Lake City has some pull on the baking process. Alas, I only bought 2 doughnuts when my stomach really wanted 2 dozen. Holiday Gas Station (with the scary clown). I am seriously considering changing my residence- no, my Last Name for these delicious clusters of heaven. Next time - Bavarian Cream: for the true "creampie" Oh Yeah ^_^ (They only wanted 75 Cents!! and it was 2x the size of my head)

Circular pastries that resemble a DVD are a guilty pleasure of mine. After living in LA for a few years, I got hooked on the tasty mom-and-pop coffee shops with fresh donuts. When I moved back to Utah, I wanted a donut fix, so I stopped by a gas station. The only flavor available was chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. I wasn't a big chocolate donut fan at that point, but one bite and I changed my mind. Those double-choc delights are SPLENDID! I started going to the bakery occasionally to pick up pastries and breads. The donut store doesn't always have all of their products, but they always have the chocolate donuts. Other lovely yummies are their orange blondies (like brownies, but orange flavored with orange icing), sugar cookies, and cream cheese bars. They're super cheap, and always a surefire hit. Whenever I have a friend in town, I introduce them to the chocolate donut. I've even had a friend pay my gas money up to Idaho to bring a dozen donuts. They're super good. And a significant factor in my weight loss plan that is never successful.

Some of the most delicious chocolate doughnuts I have tried!! They have just the right amount of glaze with a soft airy dough. Yum!

I lived in West Jordan when I first moved to Utah, so Dunford has a huge spot in my heart. Now that I live downtown I don;t get many opportunities to stop by the actual outlet, but I jump at the chance when I can. Lucky for me, my daughter's orthodontist is right around the corner and we can pop by for a freshly baked yummy treat. The double chocolate cake donuts are the best by far, but they can also sell out quickly sometimes. Another favorite is the coconut white glazed donut or any of their muffins. Everything is so fresh! Not to mention dirt cheap. This little outlet also sells fruit, juices, hot chocolate, milk...basically anything you need to get your morning started.

Dunford donuts are the best. I've always enjoyed dropping by the store in west Jordan. They make the donuts fresh daily. I also discovered they sell chocolate donuts a t Costco!! Yeah

I went into the bakery first thing, 6AM to grab a couple dozen for a work event. . . they were still bringing the donuts in on the racks, the frosting was still on the verge of dripping off the sides from the warmth of the donut. . . YUM! If you can get out to their location in South Jordan, do.

Coming from California where donut shops dot every corner I was so disappointed to not find a single donut shop here. Thankfully someone tipped us off to Dunford Bakery! If you can't have a shop by all means we'll take a bakery! So fresh and so good! Our kids love the self serve feature. Great value and close to home. My donut heart is so happy!

I'm not a donut kinda guy, but I make an exception for the Dunford Double Chocolate cake donuts. Fresh, these things are dangerously delicious. I can't speak for their other donuts. You can find Dunford donuts in 7-11 convenience stores and some gas stations in Utah.

Mmmmmm, donuts. As a self-proclaimed donut conneseur, I make it a point to try new donuts wherever I go. On my list of about 55 donut establishments, Dunford comes in at number two. I most enjoy their double chocolate cake donut; rich, but not overpowering chocolate flavor combined with a superbly moist texture makes eating just one an impossible task. Make sure you buy a carton of milk to compliment this experience. Other than the double chocolate, Dunford also offers a wide variety of donuts. The chocolate bar and sprinkled donuts are excellent choices.

YUM! We are new to UT. After reading reviews here, I saw their chocolate glazed chocolate cake doughnuts @ Costco. I usually eat "clean" but cheated to try these. SO WORTH IT! Can't wait to cheat again at the shop and see all the variety! Thanks to previous reviewers for turning me on to Dunford Bakers.
